The Brief
18 months after previously designing and building the website for Royal Docks CrossFit before the gym opened, owner David Marshall got in touch about redesigning it to align with the gyms new businesses goals now it was more established. The overall styling of the website was still very much liked, but it needed more focus on attracting new members to the gym. David was now able to provide professional photographs of the gym and it's members, which was lacking when the original site was designed.
The Process
We met to discuss the new goals of the website. David expressed the need to promote the Free Intro Classes as this was a vital way to attract new members. The website also needed to build trust, getting users interested enough to get in touch. We decided the most affective ways to do this was; with testimonials, adding more information about the gym and team, and utilising the professional imagery which superbly showcased the community that David and the Royal Docks CrossFit team had built over the past 18 months. We wireframed the new layouts, keeping the new goals of the site firmly in front of our minds.
I then created design visuals for three pages, including a mobile visual so David could see how it would adapt to fit a smaller screen. David happily signed these visuals off so the designs could be turned into a functional website integrating with a CMS, so the Royal Docks CrossFit team update the website themselves.
The Result
Royal Docks CrossFit now have a website which is focused on informing and converting users into future members.

Client Testimonial
"Sarah was always professional and quick to respond during the build process and always willing to go above and beyond if we ever had any questions or queries... I would not hesitate in recommending Sarah Evans Design in the future."
